Col. Warren Vest has stepped up to the position of National Finance Officer. This is a significant appointment, and reflects well on MER to have one of its own in the National Leadership.
Effective 15 September 2009, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Col. Larry J. Ragland, CAP as Vice Commander of Middle East Region.
Col. Ragland recently completed a successful tour of duty as North Carolina Wing Commander. During his tenure from Dec 2004-Dec 2008, the NC Wing achieved significant goals, including an excellent 2008 CI inspection and this year’s Paul Turner National Safety Award. North Carolina pioneered the use of ADS-B to track its newer aircraft in flight under Col. Ragland, and he will be an asset to MER in adopting future technology changes.
Please congratulate both Colonels Warren Vest and Larry Ragland on their new roles within Civil Air Patrol.
